The story of LUVIDA
Who are we?
We began our journey, opening People’s Restaurant in Cavan in November of 2016. Thousands of happy customers, some awards on the wall and a reputation for outstanding customer service later, we opened Luvida in March of 2019.
We love food, real food made and prepared by real chefs who want you to enjoy their passion and their hard work in every bite – making you wish you had room to fit more in!
Finally, why are we called Luvida?
Naming a restaurant is tricky business. You can choose to name it after the type of cuisine you’re going to serve. You can choose something vague and hope it sounds trendy. Or you can just have excited owners of a new restaurant who couldn’t decide on a name, so their handsome and intelligent manager can suggest lots of different names that he made sure weren’t copyrighted by anyone else!
Also, it sounds trendy!
Luv food – Luv Cocktails – Luvida
One very important thing to remember about wine is that it doesn’t matter where it came from or what it costs, if you enjoy it, that’s all that matters. We enjoy our wine in Luvida and for that reason we have taken a lot of care in curating a wine list that will satisfy any palate and dish on our menu.
From some of the best vineyards and wineries around the world we have chosen our favourites and can stand by all of them as being something we would recommend with confidence.
Cocktails made to perfection
Sometimes a cocktail is the only thing that will do for a special occasion. At Luvida we absolutely love cocktails. We love learning new techniques, flavour combinations, ingredients as well as staying loyal to well known favourites.
We use only the freshest ingredients and high quality spirits in all of our cocktails and pride ourselves on delivering superbly consistent and refreshing cocktails each and every time. We’re certified by the IBA (International Bartender Association) too, but aside from that we know we make great cocktails because we only drink great cocktails.
Gift cards the perfect choice
We never get out as often as we’d like, so the surprise of a gift card for Luvida restaurant is the ideal way to remind a loved one to relax and enjoy themselves every now and again. They can be purchased online and sent via post to any address you like, and can also be purchased in our restaurant during opening hours. Beautifully presented, valid for 5 years and redeemable against either our Early Bird or A La Carte menus for food and beverages, it really is the perfect choice.

You can book your table online right here with our handy app. Choose the time and number of guests and if you have any special requests you can let us know all about them and we’ll do everything we can to deliver on them.
Important info – your booking is confirmed when you receive a text or email with a booking reference number. If you don’t receive a booking code, your booking didn’t go through.
To ensure your booking has been accepted please ensure to click “terms and conditions” on the last screen.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE – Post Lockdown Restrictions
In line with government guidelines on the re-opening of restaurants following the Covid 19 Lockdown, and in with how we feel we can operate safely and still deliver the best experience we can – numbers of parties and time slots are strictly limited.
Regardless of the size of your party, we can accomodate you for 1 hour and 45 minutes from the time of your booking.
This is in line with the 2 hours given by the guidelines (105 minutes for guests and 15 minute reset and sanitisation time per table)
Unfortunately until otherwise advised we cannot deviate from these terms and apologise in advance for any inconvenience.
